Welcome to Hathersage Choir! We are a friendly, mixed-ability choir made up of people from Hathersage, the Hope Valley and beyond. We sing a variety of music and enjoy responding to the challenge of performing new pieces as well as returning to old favourites. Our repertoire veers towards the classical, though in recent concerts we have also performed music by Gilbert and Sullivan, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sting and Queen.
Concerts We usually work towards two main concerts a year, plus occasional special events. We sometimes host 'Come and Sing' days, which are an opportunity to come together for the challenge of learning a piece in a day, and invite others to join us. See the Events page for details of past and future performances.
Join us! We are a friendly, welcoming choir with new people joining every year. We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm from September to early June, with a break for tea and coffee in the middle of the rehearsal. We have breaks for half term and school holidays, and a long break over the summer from mid-June to August. We welcome new members at the start of each term, in September or January. See the Join page for details.
